Hello! My name is Vishalli Lawrence and I am an LPCC here at Integrated Counseling & Wellness, both offering sessions in person and via telehealth. I graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and a concentration in Counseling, and I graduated from Colorado State University with a Masters in Counseling & Career Development. When I am not in the therapy room, you can find me reading, playing with my dog Veda, listening to Taylor Swift, playing Animal Crossing, and going to karaoke with my friends! In my trauma-informed multicultural practice, I enjoy pulling from many lenses of therapy, mainly focusing on person-centered theory, Gestalt theory, and using elements of IFS part work. My theoretical orientation in a therapy session is built upon a client’s needs and individual issues, shifting and changing my practice as needed. I find joy in helping people with anxiety-related concerns, interpersonal problems, life transitions, grief/loss, self-esteem, PTSD, and depression. I have a passion for working with women, 2SLGBTQIA2+ individuals, and BIPOC folx. My main goal in therapy is to provide and create a safe, welcoming, and warm environment for all my clients. What clients share with me in this space is a privilege and not one I take lightly. I aim to help others discover and explore their innate love and strength within themselves. My favorite quote from Walt Whitman is: “I stop somewhere, waiting for you.” This quote emphasizes the importance of oneself and one's innate ability to be and show up for oneself. This quote is about how in a place of suffering and pain, you always have YOU, and that is enough. You are always there, waiting for yourself.
