Suicide

Suicide is a major health concern in the United States and across the globe. For youth, suicide is the second leading cause of death and LGBTQIA+ youth are at even higher risk. Feeling suicidal can be really scary, and sharing these thoughts could bring up feelings of shame or lack of understanding. Thoughts of suicide is an experience that many people have, and is nothing to be ashamed of. Living in our world can be really hard, and we’re here to support you through understanding suicide.

It can also be really scary to hear that someone you love is struggling with thoughts of dying, and losing someone to suicide is heartbreaking and earth shattering. We’re here to support friends and family who are helping their loved ones through a difficult time, or are coping with the loss of someone to suicide.

We’re not a crisis center, but we are here to help. If you or someone you know is in a crisis, please call 911 or contact our Fort Collins (local) crisis line at 970-494-4200 or text TALK to 38255.
